Meet the owner
Hi! My name is Kyla; I'm 25 years old and am a full time nail technician/esthetician.
I’m obsessed with anything that shines, all things nails and I have a massive passion for hand painted nail art!
I was raised in the Okanagan in a small town called Lumby, and moved to Kamloops to take my Nail Technology course in 2017. Right after receiving my Nail Technician diploma I realized how much I loved the beauty industry and went right back to school to learn a full range of esthetics and received my Esthetician diploma in 2018. Since graduating I had been working at a local spa growing, learning and falling more in love with what I do every day. In 2021 I decided to focus on me and going back to my main passions of doing nails and growing my skills in hand painted nail art, and Made by Moonlight was finally born!

Kamloops is where I met my amazing boyfriend Tyson; together we have 2 fur babys Rue, our black and white chunky cat <3 and our Fritz, our crazy orange and white kitten. We love where we call home and enjoy going to weekend farmers markets, the Fun Factor Arcade, and taking advantage of the beautiful outdoors around us. At heart we are absolute homebodies, I love to bake and lounge on the deck with my cats and work on whichever of my many crafting choices I have on the go.

My passion for beautiful nails and to have anyone who sits in my chair leave feeling amazing is what drives Made by Moonlight. I believe our nails are another way to show off our style and aesthetic and I strive to spark a bit of joy in you every time you look at your nails. I can't wait to have you in my studio!
